Anthony Gilkes
“It don’t get easier, you just get stronger.”
Anthony Gilkes has coached since 2013, building a strength and conditioning practice around metabolic strength training: high-volume weight training that feels like cardio. Competing in men’s physique shaped his approach to nutrition, volume, and building lean muscle. He is a two-time Olympian and men’s physique champion, with NESTA, ISSA, TRX, kettlebell, and School of Speed credentials plus bodybuilding and glute specialist certifications.
His method starts with foundations: health clearance first, then squat, hinge, push, and pull before anything advanced. Sessions lean on supersets and giant sets with little rest, plus battle ropes and medicine ball slams. Progression is gradual and guided by how winded the client is. The GoodGains Method includes his Foundation and Push/Pull/Legs & Core programs.
Foundation (full body) and Push/Pull/Legs & Core programs built in Anthony’s method.
